Hello everyone,

I currently have a laptop..  Its old and slow and doesn't run games very well so I was thinking to buy a new one.. I want the best bang for buck possible so that's why I'm asking you guys - The best laptop I can get for around 600/700 euros?

(I know the budget is a bit low but I'm saving for a new car so I don't want to spend too much)

Really depends on what you're going to be doing with it. Some decent brands I'd recommend are Asus, Samsung, Sony. Regardless, consumer level stuff tends to be made more of plastics than metal alloys, which break more frequently. If you want to do gaming, I'd say Asus. Graphics design, probably some kind of MacBook, though macs are more like consoles as far as standardization goes. Graphics design might lean towards HP. However you go, intel CPU is your best bet, and try not to back yourself in a corner with a system you can't upgrade later. If you see a specific model that catches your eye, don't impulse buy, get the full model number and do market research, check online review etc. Otherwise, they're all pretty similar under the hood, some just have 4-cylinders, others have hemis. Maybe a little more detail as to what you expect from the system :)

Guess who's back?

Most things I do in the computer are fine with a cheap notebook.. But I want better gaming performance..  Also I'd love to be able to record while playing GTA SA..

What sort of criteria?

Do you want it to play games on, but not bothered about boot speeds? - Decent processor, dedicated GPU, mechanical HDD
Want it to feel snappy and not bothered about games? - Decent processor, integrated GPU, SSD

600-700 Euro is about 6000-7000GBP now right? (sorry couldn't resist it).

I'd link you to the UK Amazon site but at the moment due to the exchange rate I suspect it's not worth it for you!

Lenovo do some good value machines though, I suspect you'll get a laptop with a i5 and GTX950M which should be good for casual gaming.

Look for:
Intel i5
Nvidia Geforce GT940M+
8GB RAM+ (but you can always upgrade later if you want more and the laptop you buy has 6GB or something)

Avoid "MSI" and other gaming brands. Lenovo, Acer seem to come up trumps in value for money, Dell following shortly behind!

If you've got a preferred online shopping site for me to search then I'll search round for you mate, seeing as my go-to site isn't your best option right now  :D

Honestly mate, the i7 will be overkill, you're fine with a decent i5!

I suspect you'll get a minimum of a GT940M for the money which is far superior to the 920M, aim for the 940M as a minimum if you can. If you use "Geforce GT940M" or "Geforce GTX950M" as the search in your site of choice you'll probably get some nice options there :)

Dell Inspiron 7559, comes with a GTX 960M and an i7 6700HQ, $750-850. Didn't try it myself or see anyone using it, but I heard it's good.

Good basis mate! Worth having a quick look around for others but if you can't find one with a GTX950M within budget this is worth a punt.

The i5 is basic, (U is power saving), but bottleneck in games should still be GPU I believe :) So no worries.
