[IV:MP] Ability to track players

Being able to track your friends over the map could save you some time. I am suggesting a tracking feature using the GPS which will allow you to do that. For example: /gps player ID or /gps ID. Some players might not love to be tracked by others so a command to disable being tracked would resolve this problem for example: /tracking off. Your thoughts.

This feature doesn't really give a huge advantage as players can always track using the map. So cops would still be able to track suspects using the map, but for roleplay purposes suspects with unkown tracking status is better. Because after all they are suspects.

It's not really realistic if you can track everyone's whereabouts, like you have put bugs or trackers on their cars when you're not even a spy. And it isnt so hard to find people on map btw

Well, it would be good for the rare passenger bug ocassions, but, it needs to be a little tweaked in order to encourage the respect system. Probably, starting with respect level 3, criminals wouldn't be able to be tracked anymore (this suggestion is similar to what is happening in SAMP with the /area command, please tell me if I'm wrong, since the command abilities might be outdated, since I don't usually play on the Argonath RPG SAMP server).
I remember I made such a suggestion before the /gps command even existed, but I was also suggesting that command to be able to tell you where the nearest vehicles are located. If you want to see it, you can go to the link below:

I was told back then that such a command is useless, since we have the CTRL+T key combination.

Yea it can be useful sometimes when you needa track a taxi passenger or your friend or something but you should also disable use of the tracking feature for criminals because it will just be map track all the time for freecops. this command will only be useful in some cases not all.

yea this is good but it should only be possible if the player has a gps or a phone. This will make it more realistic tho.
If the player doensnt have a GPS or a PHONE then you cant track him but if hes owns any one of this then its possible to track him especially if he uses any of these things as a criminal cops should be notified of his location at that moment itself.
