Cult of the Desert Fathers

Dear San Andreas,
It has come to my attention that lately the people of our State have lost the way.
People dying over fields of marijuana, people killing eachother over their relations and history.
This is why a few years ago I urged my brothers – The Angels of Death Motorcycle Club, to move out to what was once a desert town – Fort Carson. The city was empty and ripe for the taking. Me and my brothers built a paradise out of this shitty little ghost town. We grew large and brought attention to the little town. Officers from Los Santos, people from Fierro. Two of the biggest political figures in the mayoral race for Las Venturas came from our little “Ghost Town”.
Years passed, I went through shit, my Club went through shit. This little clan known as the Nomads came to be. Good people I must add.

I have noticed that the people of Bone County were tight, worked with eachother, understood eachother even if the disagreed. In this desert I built my little empire, my own paradise.
I, Duke Manson, took upon the crown of “King Heroin”.

Multiple times have I went off, I retired. But every. Single. Fucking. Time. There came people who made me get back into business, show what it was to be an Angel of Death, to be a resident of our lovely Bone County. There was this movie, The Godfather. I remember the scene. Michael Corleone stating to himself that “Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in.”
My last few months of retirement ended with a vision. The whole state, the people of Argonath, following the everlasting religion…the worship of Sauron. His Churches all over San Andreas, dotted all over my precious Bone County. Churches of a so called “God” who has forsaken his own people, alongside his Pantheon, only showing up in visions and speaking out to a selected few, who misinterpret their words for their own gain.

This has come to an end, my dear friends. For the Truth has been buried underneath the sands of Bone County. The words of wisdom. The teachings of the Desert Fathers. The figures who guide you on the right way. The Fathers who have taught the ways of success and prosperity.

Unknowingly I have followed their way, as have my Brothers. We have reached positions which some cannot even dream of. A fair example is the late President of my Club. Sledge. Kris Sanders, the man who everyone respected. The man who could unite mortal enemies in an effort to combat a new threat. He did not know he was following the path of the Fathers. But I know. I know that they showed him the right way.

People, I urge you! Come to Bone County if you wish to return to the Old Ways. To the ways of success. Only through following the Words of the Fathers can we bring the Status Quo to what it once was.

Tear down the Temples of Sauron, burn down the Churches and follow the smoke to Bone County. I will show you the way. The Desert Fathers speak through me and these words shall bring you prosperity, should you listen to them.

Out of Character/Reason for all of this:
So, what the hell is this you probably might ask? Who am I to go against Sauron and those around him?
I’m TheGreasyChopper, at some point or another the members of this community have come across me. I’ve been known as the President of the AoD/Angels of Death. Many tried to join us, but the only people who remained members have done so through the years.

This is in no way an advertisement to the groups I lead or am a member of. I am using this In Character/RP Cult or Religion of the Desert Fathers to promote a certain way of Roleplay. It has never been popular or supported by the Management enough to reach to everybody.

The last few years things have been going pretty downhill, in my honest opinion (And I am sure many of you share this idea). We’ve went through periods of the server leaning toward Cops and Robbers, DMers and Hackers, Roleplayers and Freeroamers, you name it. But there was always this little part of the community who remained as regular Roleplayers. People who did not give a shit about the person playing the character on the other side. People who kept a story going on RP-wise and co-operated with the other side. Nowadays this is close to non-existent. We have Albanians against Serbians, Cops against Robbers, Veterans against New Players. Hell, I’m starting to miss Ballas versus Groves. And all this conflict has turned to witchhunting, hacking and accusing others of hacking. Everyone is trying to screw the other side in any way he finds, get him banned, steal his property through loopholes and administration.

Well, there is hope for those who wish to focus on the Roleplay aspect of this. We are here. We roleplay. We do not stay in our Journeys 24/7 or guard our weedfields. This little community within the Community that is Argonath is there. Veterans and new players, we built our own way of playing in Bone County. The “Cult of the Desert Fathers” is an opposition to the neglect from the people in power. I do not want to insult, go against or criticize the HQ or Management. I just want to show you that Argonath is about the members of our community. Anyone who is interested in this way of playing, anyone who wishes to be remain “In character” while IG, anyone who wishes to just have fun playing the game and not be judged by his history or background, you are welcome in Bone County.

I came up with this idea and built up on it, based on my little Project from the beginning of RS5. RION I believe it was called. We all know how shitty we felt about the new script, we wanted changes, we wanted updates. Everyone was throwing shit at HQ for this piece of trash RS5 was initially. This little group – RION, took up two forms – people who were In Game were Roleplaying protesters who went up against the government/status quo, fighting for change((RP wise protest against the scripts, without causing shitstorms or DM fests)) and these same members of our community, posting constructive criticism on the forums, giving out suggestions on how to improve. We need to face the truth, Argonath is losing it. But with constant provoking and conflicts in the forums, accompanied by DM fests and shitstorms on /p while IG…We won’t go anywhere. ARUN failed to do it, plans to fix the status of Argonath have not went very well.

This is not a plan, this is not a “Do it or fuck off” topic. I am not ordering anyone to do anything. I am just reaching out and inviting anyone who feels like they are out of place in Argonath, anyone who simply wishes to Roleplay and have a good time, without the constant bickering – reach out to us. You do not need to be a criminal, cop, San Fierro resident or Los Santos resident, Balla or Grove, biker or gangster. All you need is to realize that you are the one responsible for the Change, and the one who can bring it.
Do not bring any of our external or internal conflicts to this topic, we do not want that here. All we want is screenshots of people roleplaying, positive comments of people who see a hope to change.

You can do it and only with you – We can do it.
