The Continental is a pre-RS6 transition patch which will occur this weekend (I only develop Friday through Sunday here, I have like 92 other projects). This system will replace and eventually revamp the existing notoriety system and hitman system.
In this pre-RS6 patch the following will occur to set way for the Continental in RS6:
Lore/RP: The Continental has bought out the SA Black Market operators and vendors, and as a result a transition will occur within the criminal underground structure and operations:
- "Notorious Gold" will be renamed to "Continental Coin"
- "Notorious Hideout" will be renamed to "Continental Hideout"
- Black Markets will be renamed to "Continental Black Market"
- You will now require level 8 notoriety to enter a Continental Hideout.
- The Criminal Vendor will be removed from the point near Angel Pine and moved into the Continental Black Market and renamed as "Continental Receptionist".
- You will now purchase Continental Coin from the receptionist using the /cash command (new option will appear when near a receptionist called "Access Continental Services").
- /removenoto will be removed, the intention was to require your notoriety to be removed at a cost from the Vendor. This will once again be implemented and accessible from the Continental Receptionist but will now cost Continental Coin.
Planned Changes Pre-RS6
- Adjustment to the hitman system, you will still /call 600 but the flow of things in electing a hitman will be changed.
- There will no longer be a cash reward for bounties, you will be paid in Continental Coin which can be picked up from a Continental Receptionist, once you have eluded the authorities.
- The bounty system will once again go back to a claim system, within the Continental Services menu.
- We might adjust the cost of Continental Coin to 10,000 and adjust CC costs accordingly.
- The Continental Black Markets will receive a high-end overhaul courtesy of their new owners.
- An NPC named John Wick which murders everyone.
