Well i recently discovered my external hard drive Usb - female port was broken.
So i decied to dismantle it ( soldering iron the case :D ) and discovered a nice bulky 320gb Ultra ATA hard but i found a problem.
My Computer leads work like this:
DVD- Ultra ATA - One Adapter meaning you end for mobo, another for dvd.
HD - 80gb - Current one - SATA.
I found a IDE lead in my old pc but i don't know whether it will work as this IDE cable is double adapter meaning new HD and DVD on same lead running on UATA.
Im sorry if this is confusing but it will mean alot to me if you help.
Regards
Haldir

I think it should work... at one time i had 2 hdd and 2 dvd burners on each ide channel one hdd and one dvd.... as always, if u aint sure, google it!

other solution is getting uata to sata converter cabble and connecting new hdd as sata...
