And that's exactly why nobody [sane] trusts computer store tech support. Unless it's another problem than a bad driver (and it usually is a bad driver), it won't fix itself.

Explain my 100% record for fixing pcs? explain why people came to the counter asking for ME to fix their PCs? explain me fixing 19 driver conflicts in one work day?

No - the sane thing would be to trust the freaking expert - youv lost all credibility with the statement "Sane people dont trust the experts"

Drop it boys this isnt whos best tech guy this is help topic...

Posible reasons are:
  • hardware not compatible, causes overlapping in memmory
  • wrong driver causing overlapping in memmory ranges
  • Some system related errors(reading invalid memmory address

what u can do, first of all, its just bought pc, go to store explain problem, thy build it thay know whats wrong with it, second and this is a responce to dougr, what i do:
install windows, all progs needed, when its stable i make norton ghost image, burn it, than when i see any problems, what is easier, to extract immage and get fresh windows in 5 minutes or lose all week fixing some minor problem related to error in explorer.exe code...?

im a big norton hater, since all mighty dos program/command 'NCD'  but i use ghost...

Just claiming that system restore will fix everything lost all your credibility. I do not care about your "100% record". And never did I claim "sane people don't trust the experts" -- you don't seem like one from what you've said in this topic. And since you work as tech support (?), I don't really know who else a normal user would come for help. Your argument is flawed.

...I'm not even going to bother to dignify this with a response. Error in "explorer.exe code"? But wouldn't you rather search around for a fix to a problem that somebody else has most likely experienced instead of needing to reinstall all the games and programs you have by reverting to a backup image of an fresh Windows install? Obviously you could make a backup with all your games and programs on, but hey, any of them could be the cause and your Ghost image is useless.

Unless this is a specialty store (instead of Dell), this is rarely the case.

Please, just get us the error message to end this awful argument.

:wow: You guys managed to turn a help topic into a argument ... Just try to help him, don't fight ...
Lionz, what I would reccomend, re-install Windows and delete everything u have on your PC (if it's a new one, you shouldn't have much informations and stuff) ... then download it again and your fixed. If it doesn't work, I would have bought a new PC

System restore probably won't help. If any of your files has a error or something, even if you do it, you will still have the problem. The system restore usually saves your information only when you have made changes/updates/installs on the date/hour ... you can try, its easy, but I don't think it would help.

Icarus, it doesn't matter if you are a professional or not. What matters here is if you can help Lionz or not ... if you can not help him, there is no need to post, creating arguments and stuff  :)
