Well, i got Windows XP home( i think), is there a way to make it so when i start my computer, it automatically selects a(my only) user and logs in with it. It is pretty inconvenient if i am downloading something(legal) overnight and Windows decides to download an update+ restart the computer.

There is a way to turn off automatic updates....

If yours is the only account, disable the password on it. Also, in the user settings there should be something about making yours the default account. This only works with one account. So if there are more accounts on the PC, it may not work...

Hehe, you need a to go into some special setting to make it auto-inlogg seeing as it's not really an option in the windows XP... I got it on one of my computers, and it rocks. I just don't remember how to do it :P

easy just go to run and type control userpasswords2 and then click the little box that says require password
and then fill in the next thing that pops up with the correct information
