It is unacceptable that this group was started  without my permission.

Before we set up the Zaibatsu Corporation, we contacted the owners of the previous one and asked for the rights to the name.

We created the new Zaibatsu Corporation which is completely different to the old one, but we still asked permission for the name "Zaibatsu Corporation"


In this case, this guy has just created a new group with the name "Secret Service" without asking me for permission to use the title...

And yes, it is a completely different group, but I still demand that permission is asked first.

Creation of a group or clan grants you immediate copyright of it. That means that he has breached my copyright. The fact that I shut down the Secret Service does not mean I have lost the copyright. The old members of the Zaibatsu Corporation didn't lose their copyright either, and they disbanded long ago.

You did not ask my permission and therefore I feel that this topic should be trashed...unless you contact me and ask for official permission

  Hello SecretService,

  Firstly, you should do your research before creating a group, as it could have been created before.  It is courteous to request permission to take the name of an old group. This is because veteran players may become confused if someone is running a group that they already know of.

  As far as the name is concerned "United States of Argonath Secret Service" I think there is a difference, although if you could think of a more original name, I recommend.
