Alphonse Moretti came from Italy to America with his friends Bruce and Matthew. They were notorious in Italy for their criminal dealings. They had one dream when they moved to America, which was to take over a new location, and to take control of the criminal underworld there. Shortly after their move from Italy to America, Alphonse had a son, Josh Moretti. Alphonse, along with his criminal group, came to become one of the biggest organised criminal groups in their area. After Josh reached the age of 16, a member of a rival family assassinated Alphonse - along with Bruce and Matthew. This left a Capo, Paulie, in charge - however, he was scared for his life and so decided to place Josh in charge. Only a week later, Josh ordered his Mafia Soldiers to assassinate Paulie and his followers, due to Paulie's lack of courage, and weak loyalty to the Famiglia.
Years later, the Moretti Famiglia is still believed to operate in Las Venturas - led by Josh Moretti.
