Niitro, you were the guy backing this idea up a little while ago, and now ron is against it, you are also against it?
Gallery sucks, look its up there a 6 letter word squashed between other words. such as TV and radio, who will look at a gallery when they can watch TV? :trust: I only once clicked on the gallery, to look at the interiors.

I clearly stated, the topic starter will put the new images on his first post when he started the topic, by using the modify button, he can then notify others of the updates and tell them to look at the front page.

The Argonath RPG web portal could really use some improvements: having a totally different site for every "subsite" along with an another forum installation isn't nice, it's bulky (and I don't think that anybody even uses the other sites)

We can be as bulky as we want... and looking to the registrations people do use them.
If you would have checked you would see that the forum discussion on the Media site leads back here, not to another forum.
We have found problems with sites like imageshack and photobucket.  Rules can change, pictures are not stored forever. Result: they disappear.

I saw the forum and saw that you have to click again and again to see some pictures. Not exactly user-friendly. Also there is the confusion in he discussion when people post new images.

The gallery on the media site can be without limits to the size of upload. In the forums we will keep the limits.

The gallery is poorly implemented (it's a small link up in the sidebar, and has only basic features such as commenting), and an forum would work just as well for this purpose.

I would like if you would get an more advanced gallery with everything you can imagine of, along with something that can redirect you to it in the "other"-section.

No! THE FIRST POST would be "updated" every time he adds something new! They could even make thumbnail images or descriptions for each picture link OR JUST DIRECTLY LINK THE IMAGE: it's an art forum, you can only expect to see "big" pictures while browsing! Please consider this suggestion with deep thought, I'm done.

Yes, I did not check it out, but for example, the ARPD site has it's own forum.

We can be as bulky as we want... and looking to the registrations people do use them.

But having everything on the same installation would make management much easier.

(Oh, and the "TV" sucks, it even crashed my Firefox).

Be fair, the community is requesting something, the least you could do is let us try it. Just remember, without us, there would be no argonath. (Not exactly me, im talking about people in the community in general)

Only comment, you say??? No... Galery gives you even possibility to see the small image (thumbnail) to know what is image about... Will your topics have it? No... Users will have to click links, they have no idea what is there... And if they will not like one of your pictures, which can be different from another your picture, they can actually close your topic and never come back...

Of cos you can creat a thumbnail yourself (it is what I call - lamers), when galery has a possibility to make is automatic...
Of cos you can ask from every player - start make thumbnails... Instead of just putting the image and description (galery feature), our ARTtists will make from one image - two, one for thumbnail, other - to upload on imageshack, and at least players of MTA will not go there if they are in game (disconnect - trainer usage)...

And I will not even ask - how the hell you wanna all people force to make thumbnails...

But as the answer you heard:

Use the Argonath Pictures section...
No any special section for images posting...
No any limits of images sizes will be removed on forums options...
