A lot of people on the steam forums are not convinced by the announcement of the Scout Update, supposed to be released tomorrow. I personally think that something bigger is going to be released other than what they have put up
hereSome therioes as to WHY this is all fake:
1. The images look like they were rushed on photoshop
2. The copyright symbol is missing on the TF2 logo
3. The new melee weapon, the Sandman, could be a reference to the western character that legend says sprinkles sand in the eyes of sleeping children to give them god dreams
4. The previous updates' web pages were in the domain steampowered.com/tf2 whereas the Scout update's is in the domain teamfortress.com
5. The weapons seem, unlikely and that they would tamper too much with the Scout's style of gameplay
Some therioes as to WHAT this update may really be:
1. A new playerclass (i.e. the citizen from TFC)
2. A new gamemode
3. Both of the above
4. A spy update
5. A Scout update but using completely different weapons and/or achievements
