Gladiator Car Battle!

Ok so I noticed Mihail The Coolios mention something like Gladiator car battles and that sounds like an idea too good to ignore

I am therefore proposing said Gladiator Car battle! Here is what i've thought up, it's basically destruction derby, all comments and criticisms welcome, once the details are finalised I'll set a date and get a list of people who want to sign-up.

:rules: The Rules

• 18 cars enter, one remains
• Taking place on the LV airport runway circuit
• All cars welcome so that means no trucks, vans, truck cabs, bikes, motorcycles, planes (duh :roll:) and also no emergency service vehicles (including army vehicles) and no hotring racer or bloodring banger. Basically just use a normal car, a sports car if you want, but it's probably not clever .
• The point is to smash the other cars until they explode and you are the last left.
• If your car is on fire, run away! I'm not paying for any deaths that may incur. (combatants, i also suggest you stay away from those cars! I don't want people complaining that they only lost because they were sat next to a car that exploded :roll:)
• You are allowed to destroy your opponent in any way necessary, this includes ramming them into the concrete barriers in the centre or over the ramps, upside down cars are still dead!
• You can use the ramps at your own risk.
• No weapons! No drive-bying! No passengers shooting from your car! (I guess you can have non-combatants in your car if you want, i see no problem with that).
• Don't stray too far from the runway, anyone caught blatently driving off in the distance to avoid combat will be disqualified.
• Anyone breaking the rules will be disqualified.

As I am too poor to single-handedly fund a reward for this event the entrance fee will be 2k from each driver entering and so minus uhmmm...costs  :redface: the winner will receive 32k (and mad respect! :cool:)

Obviously spectators welcome but you come at your own risk, also if anyone wants to RP fire fighters or paramedics to clear up the place afterwards that'd be great. Any cops who want to help make a perimeter also welcome but bring a big car  

I'm sure they'll be lots of screenshots etc. but if anyone wants to film it, that'd be cool!

Hope you all like the event, it's probably going to be happening sometime around 8/9pm GMT on a Tuesday (I'm thinking the 26th of June) but I'll work out the date once everything's peachy.

Tell me what you think or what should be changed!

btw I was the man who made up this idea,well the name anyway, this is a moderatered version of it :S, also i am pretty sure that it has been patented by us b4, ur just renewing it now... :redface:

But i think the airport is not a good place for such an event.

heh sorry if I'm stealing anyone's ideas, to be fair I really just stole the destruction derby idea from single player, it may not be original but I'm sure it'll be fun

I thought of Rix's place first too but I think it might get crowded unless we drop the number of people playing and secondly a lot of the point will be dodging others, a head on collision with another will hurt both cars fairly equally so are quite pointless. In that small space I don't think they'll be enough space to drive around.

Gladiator Car Battles was an old time event we did and we used the name exactly like that, but it wasn't the same as what you described,

Glad I'm getting positive responses, if you want to be involved can you add in your post whether you'd rather it was at LV airport or SF Docks (or any other place you can think of) thanks!
