OMG Where is My CD/DVD

I didn't use my computer for long time on internet, And when i inserted a CD it didn't work then i didn't find The CD/DVD in My Computer.

Check if the CD drive is plugged in well in the PC.

Go to device manager and uninstall the CD-ROM then restart your computer if it didnt work then..

   1. Click Start, then Run, then enter REGEDIT to open the Registry Editor
   2. Navigate to the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/Control/Class entry
   3. Under the Class entry, double click on {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
   4. In the right-hand pane, click ONCE to select the UpperFilters entry
   5. Make sure the UpperFilters entry is highlighted, press Delete, then Yes.
   6. In the right-hand pane, click ONCE to select the LowerFilters entry
   7. Make sure the LowerFilters entry is highlighted, press Delete, then Yes.
   8. Close the Registry Editor by clicking File, Exit.


none of these worked then you must have uninstalled it or your CD-rom is screwed :P

Maybe your CD has got jammed and came out of the disk tray, Just open up your tray and look for the CD

Sorry, i didnt quiet understand your question :P

It is common for the icon to disappear those are the steps to solve it, if it doesnt then your CD-Rom is busted.. THE STEPS dont screw your CD-rom they try to repair it

As i said before my internet disconnected at my home so in my break i only play single player that's what i did.

i had the same problem on my last computer, i talked to this guy at the store about the problem, he told me its a very small niddle going that is reading the CD/DVD so you can watch/play it... and he told me it requires an tour on the repairing station, so 1 weed after i gave it to them problem was solved.. i dont know how to fix this problem yourself try take a talk with the store you bought it from thats my best tip i can give you,
