Vermicelli - Thin pasta/noodles that is used all over the world, and is quiet delicious the way my mom makes it ,
Anyway, there is a boy (11), he lives in south of france, were Italians have come to occupy and make settlements.
His name is Pier von Vermicelli, he is very close to his father who is a Olive farmer.
So this is what happens.
He is one day on a field, drawing the mountains whilst sitting up against one of his fathers olives. He sees a deer in the distance, he wants to chase it, so he runs and runs after it, deers and other animals in this region were the reason why his father was losing a lot of yield of olives. The boy was chasing the deer.
suddenly, a huge BANG...
Piers cousin, Pedro who was from Spain, this family is from north / west italy were people speak Spanish a lot. His cousin is 16. He is secretly gay. (lol'd)
His cousin shot the deer in its neck, with a rifle (what else?)
So pier, thought his cousin was really cool. He was close to his cousin - but didn't know his cousin was gay. So, a year after that, there parents sat Pier down, he was maturing now, and starting to "Change". They sat him down in an old kitchen with an agaa (you know what kind of traditional country kitchens im talking about), they told him that they wanted to move to the south of france, because the last harvest, left them in severe money issues. Pier did not want to go, because he had found a Girlfreind, who he really liked. He had freinds, etc etc.
He eventually ran away from home, he was in a place he did not know well (France) , he was found weeks later, but he had gotten a chest infection, from sleeping in the cold. His father never let him out of his site , after he recovered, the time was full of tension and family conflict, they worried pier would not live.
His father, Pier senior was originally from france, so, he ofcourse moved back into his old village there.
Piers mother was a Italian, she was from a very poor background, but she is not a star of the film ... so, erm ya :P, who gives a Fudge about her tbh...
Pier eventually fitted in to French life, he still had a strong Italian accent, but the french thought him English, and he would speak it a lot.
His mother died, when he was at school, he came home to find his father sitting at the table staring at a wall. Pier Senior had a blank expression. Pier jr, came in and asked "Papi, What's wrong" ?
His father instructed him to sit. He asked "Were is ma mere?" , he got up thinking she was in his room again, looking at pictures of his new girlfreind :P ( She had introduced him to the girl and they was kind of close then and there )...
Pier jr: MAMA, im home...
Pier then got up and was about to see were she was.
Before he could go, his father grabbed his arm and pulled him onto the seat.
He gave him a questionable look , Pier thought his father was drunk, he wasn't sure what to think really.
He asked his father "whats up papi"?
His father broke into tears,he couldn't tell him, he was getting old, he couldn't cope with raising Pier by him self, he'd miss his wife, he was in agony.
Pier then went to his father, who was weeping, he wiped his tears with his own hat and asked : "PAPI, please, Whats wrong?"
His father looked at him, he then softly said "Your mother, she is", he couldn't say it.
Pier staggered up, (from kneeling on the floor ) , pier lept out of the room, he looked all over the place for his mother. He found her body in the hallway, covered in a white sheet, he was about to lift it up to see if it was his mother... he was scared.
His father grabbed his arm. "Don't you dare" his father said as tears went down both of there faces. Pier clinnged to his father and then the scene phases out to darkness.

His father was now getting older. Pier was 18.
Pier came home one day, when his father was about to fry a sardine (he loved them).
Pier had a flyer in his hand, he showed it to his father... He told him he wanted to work here, it was ofcourse a Vermicelli Factory.

basically he works at the factory and he gets recruited by the Vermici Mafia.
The mafia uses "Vermicelli" factorys as there central Hq for organized crime - drugs.
The don of the vermici mafia wants his cousin Pedro dead, he found out pedro was gay becuase by chance he came onto one of the Mafia members in Italy
