What are hitman contracts even used for?

I put a hit on someone who killed a friend infront of me, that was canceled by admin. Then I discuss with admins and I am told that Hitman contracts are "not a vendetta system", "not for avenging friends/allies". Then what are they used for? When you put a hit on someone, its not random, its calculated and thought out. What is the point of having hits when that would make most of them invalid. Are you only allowed to put hits on strangers who might have bumped your car? Hits as far as I knew, were to take out opponents or people you have something against or who threaten you.

Which admin told you that? As far as I know, if you're truthful in your reason for setting that hit then it's completely allowed.. so long as you didn't die.

ok situation of this guy was like this..

2 friends, with same tag etc both cops.

1 cop is investigating a Gvardia at SFPD etc... Someone puts a hit on that 1 cop and one Gvardia goes to SFPD and assasins the Cop.

After that, the 2 friends, the friend of the killed set up a hit on the guy who killed his friend

The way I saw it was, I ask my friend to put a hit on the guy who killed me, so I can accept the hit and go Revegne Kill.

Therefore! I did request to cancel the hit.
Also on gangs, if a friend is getting chase, you may not bring allies to hit the cops for you to escape or so!

I would just like to say this here when setting a hot or even before doing so i would advise you to contact any member of the administration and explain your reasons why you want a hit to be set in the first place.I have always thought that was the way it was supposed to hgave waorked anywya

Reason being is that many tend to be set with the intention of deathmatching

I put the hit on him, my 'friend' had no say in the matter. I think you have an extremely loose understanding of what all was happening (probably because I dont think you were there the whole time).

I see it as, first off, the hit on my 'friend' was invalid but nobody removed it. That gvardia comes in and kills him when we are in the middle of RP. So then I put a hit on the gvardia that killed him. I have seen close to this scenario happen several times and admins refuse to take down the hit.

also my 'friend' didnt accept the hit as far as I knew. We didnt plan for him to take it or something, he was in the middle of respawning when I put it up. I know what revenge killing as and I dont think thats it.

Yes, I was not there all the time because we had other reports coming in as well, what would happen to these? They would just go same as you: ADMINS DONT CARE PLZ LOOK @ REPORTS FFS!! but no, I try to be fair and respond to all reports.

First, Your friend states that he reported the non-rp hit, thing which I did not see as I was getting PM spam the time, Had around 4 people PMing me for 2-3 Different situations.
People who want someone reported and have no results, re-report the thing after 1-2 mins.. Not leave it and say "ADMINS DONT RESPOND" In -fact admins are not robots, we sometimes are busy already on other reports so we do not respond to other ones.

As far I was not aware you felt the hit was Non-RP, I later saw your hits and thought you were going to RK, so this is WHY i canceled your hits.
If I was aware from the begin of the hit, or if any of you had PM'd me that "Hey the hit on me is non RP!" I would of had cancel that too, and nothing more would have happen !
But yet, no-one of you did inform me for the non-rp hit. (I later saw that a HIT Existed when one of you was killed by that gvardia..) but still, I was not aware there was a HIT on you, OR that you felt it was Non-RP

I see you think I personally attacked in that post. I did not cry to you about everything, so please dont act like I did and that I thought you were ignoring me when I didnt even go to you for help. I didnt say "admins dont care blah blah", I was saying that the hit was brought up to an admin but not removed.

Re-report? If reports don't get looked at the first time, whats the point of doing it again. Most people will get whined at for "Don't abuse /report!!!" Yes I see youre busy, thats why there are OTHER admins there, not just you.

also you turned your PM off because you were busy so please dont blame me for you not having further knowledge. and also to add, I did not die at all, no its not like I revenge killed with the hit.

Rock it's not personal, just some advice to remember for the future. I did report when I got a hitman contract on me for no reason and DMed after that (Already warned you they would like 10 minutes before it happened) yet you failed, maybe because you were busy, to spot the report and do something about it. I do not see how we were going to RK and therefor I do not understand the reason of cancelling both of the reports, we didn't say a word against each other so that's a bit weird too....

Don't abuse report will be told in cases you over-use it, such as spam it!

No I did not felt attacked, I explained how situation would be if I did not answer to any report and the way others would act .

I turned PM off for a few mins, then I turned it back on (Just to reduce the spam)
I do not blame you for not re-reporting it, but you could have mentioned it while we were talking after that PM-OFF/ON :/

I was not aware of the Hit at first, and even more I had no idea you felt the hit was Non RP.. As I've said earlier, if I was told that earlier.. I would have taken other actions..

Let's go again from the begin, You had told me you were afraid the Gvardias outside would come inside and DM all of you, NOT that they had set a hit on you, or you had a non-rp hit on you!

I did warn Tommy verbally on local chat via /spectate later, even thought on the next report you kept saying "But do something this time, not like last time that you didn't."
Bring your self to my place, how would you feel? Wouldn't you be offended by the fact that you do actions, and you run to prevent things, and you still get blamed by others for not taking action? Remember that most punishment is not always shown to public with /warn or /kick.. It's more communication through spectate /l etc and better than a quick punishment without explanation

It's alright Rock, you're forgiven  Just felt a little strange about the fact that I mentioned it way before it happened and still nothing was done but alright, hopefully we'll see some action taken in the future as I can guarantee you it'll happen again^^

I know what you mean but it's just frustrating to see that the same people always break rules and get away with it every time... Other people who are actually playing by the rules get heavily punished for smaller things. But alright, thanks for clearing it up ; )

Well admins do not show same toleration to all players

New players get away with a warning, or even just a chat... Because they are new :p

But on veterans, we are more tough..
