IV:MP ping problem

Well, since few days, my ping in IV:MP is ranging between 400-550 which is kinda high.. My internet browser and everything else working great! only IV:MP works with problems..

Close all unnecessary processes running on your computer, but don't delete the impotent ones, this will help your problem.

1st: what is your ping normally, it could be high because of your distance
2ndly: make sure u are not downloading stuff

If not sometimes your ISP can be running maintanence which can last up to a week, to make sure it is maintanence, do a hard reset on your modem and router, and if possible do a software reset aswell (by going to 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 and hitting restart), if problems persist, and the issue is happening on other computers aswell, then its most likely maintanence.
