RIP indeed... it hits me hard as she is the first of the Brit School (my college) alumni to go on to international fame to die.

It's a sad day for the music world. Such a waste of talent... It was clear she couldn't cope with the fame and with the help of her ex, she abused drugs and threw herself into a world of misery and trouble.
