Assuming you all know what a joystick is  I propose my problem

EVERY time I restart my computer, reboot etc, I have to recalibrate my joystick without fail, it feels fine physically, but on the calibration menu it is never centred, has sort of dead spots which move whenever it's unplugged or the computer is switched off and on again.

I really don't want to buy another one, has anyone got any possible reasons for this?

Very annoying if I'm playing a driving simulator like LFS for example, as it pings around everywhere.

Thanks in advance

Joe
