Personally I would have gone for an i5 and made up a better Card with that saving ^^

Lol, You're killing it.
If it is for somebody to buy a good CPU, he must not think what is good but cheap... but what is good and is worth it... In this case... i7 is really really better than i5.. So, saving a little bit more, will not harm you any...

As for the GPU you ordered YS_JAPAN, It's fair enough good.. but yet not the best.. even though GTA IV is a cpu-eating game.. so you wont have many problems I can guess... althought I wish R* had coded the game better... so we could all benefit from it.. but sadly, it's badly written so we do not..

@Joedaman633 (again): How can it make up? Even how good GPU you have, if you don't have a powerful CPU you ain't going nowhere :P.. Yours have 4x512 Unless I'm wrong.. Mine's 6MB but I can't recall how it's shared.

In most cases, gaming performance is boosted by up to 220 percent in getting a slightly cheaper processor and making up for it with a Better Graphics Card. I read that in an article somewhere

Yeah, I have 4 x 512kb Cache

Thats why overclock potentials grows so fast :) With good cooler you can reach much higher clock values than default, and that would also give a noticed performace boost.

But that's not always good..

Better performance(Overclock)? Less life-time of the product ;)..

I wouldn't have picked the AMD / ATI / Radeon or w/e they call themselfs stuff. The rest is nice and will certainly run GTAIV

That phrase is used quite long but it seems that it isnt truth at all. Its just used to somehow prevent at least a bunch of people to do that stuff and force em buy more expencive one. For example, that Processor you got in sign,my buddy have for approx. 2 years, and it works perfectlly on 4.1GHz without any isusse and overheat cooled by Megahalems cooler. Basically, there is whole bunch of Processors as in Intel and AMD,that has same basic core and only changed clock for a bit. Q9200/300/400 = same thing :) Same with E5200/300/400 series. So why then just dont buy cheaper one and clock it :D

Even Motherboard suppliers has changed alot in their developing of motherboards, when they saw how far this gone. There is whole set of additions based on new chipsets that encouraging overclock :) Same goes for RAM Memory sellers.

:ps: Ughhh,i went sooo far from Topic :$ Anyway,Graphics seem weak for the rest of machine :)

Not Necessarily

The only reasons that your Component would have less life:

1. Overheating
2. Raising the v core too much. (would not let me write v core together, it said *deleted* :o   )

If you understand the basics, you know that you can raise the clock a certain extent, then to push the speed further, you must increase the voltage provided to the Processor, this is the main cause of it heating up.

If you however only do relatively minor overclocks, you should not see any less life from the component.

My processor is rated at 3.0GHZ, and without raising the voltage, stably overclocking, it could probably hit 3.3GHZ, not much, but still a 10 percent improvement, 0.3GHZ extra on each core (3) is 1.2GHZ, thats effectively adding another (Relatively small) processor into the mix.
