Internet is working fine. I just got problems with setting up the LAN.
Gonna try using that windows home network config wizard... didn't help. Helped a bit actually because now I got internet on both PC's. Just the LAN sharing doesn't work like it's supposed to (i.e can't access PC2 from PC1). Must be something wrong with security settings.
Both PC's run on WinXP Pro SP3

OK guys, solved.
Sharing internet: Had to set up all IP's as 'AUTO' and ignore warnings about low/no connectivity. Then had to use the Home Network wizard on all PC's, and use 'Fix' on any not yet working connections.
Sharing files via LAN: Just needed accounts in Windows that had passwords.
