Right, heres the situation

When playing games like SA:MP, I'm fine as it has low requirements.

However, switch to HAWX 2 or IV:MP and every so often my computer shuts down.

When I say shuts down, it doesn't tell me that it's shutting down, there is no warning, it just Instantly shuts off.

I'm fairly sure that this is to do with my Graphics card, but am not certain, could it be my Graphics Card Overheating or something?

Please suggest the problem/solution, or at least a way of me finding out what it is :)

Could be overheating, check temps then clean dust.
Could also be the power supply unit.

Aww shite.

I know I have one like 80mm fan at the back, no fan at the front, and the GPU has its own fan.

However, if its a PSU issue, then adding another fan will make it worse?

Overheating issue -> Clean dust -> Add fan if you want
PSU issue -> Replace PSU

But i can't assure you that's the problem.

Those were the two I was actually thinking of, as I have a lack of fans and also:

My Graphics Card 'Says' it requires 40A to run it on the 12V rail. My PSU supplies 38A

However, I was under the impression the Graphics Card manufacturers made a 10 percent safety margin so really the GPU would only need 38A or something like that :o

how much RAM do you have?

also make sure your VRAM is turned on, if your RAM is full and there is no VRAM then your computer will turn off, and a good way to get your RAM full, is by playing games

Well my friends used to have this problem,

RAM could be the problem, graphic card or the fucking dust check :))

There can be overheat of GPU (Check via the panel of CCC or >>) or CPU (Get 'RealTemp' and track the temperature of each core! ;) )

Or there's too much dust on the PC and you might need to clean up the motherboard.. Are you sure it gives you no warning sounds? You should enter the BIOS and turn on temperature protection (warning), so if that is the cause, you will be warned by the system.

I have 4GB of RAM

My Virtual Memory is set to:

Initial: 2046
Max: 4092

Should I change this, or set it to system managed?

Yes, I have added 2GB of RAM since I built my computer. I originally had 2GB

To my knowledge I've never exceeded 3GB usage of my 4GB of RAM

Problem Solved, was an overheating Issue.

Basically, I have no idea why, but my GPU fan speed was staying at 40 percent of its max power all of the time.

Using the software provided with the card, I have adjusted it so that the Speed of the fan incrementally goes up as the Temperature of the card goes up.

After I did this, I had no Shutdowns at all.

Gonna go off to get another case fan at some point to help my GPU fan ;)
