Due to media (yes I know, but what else to rely on at this moment) it has something to do with the old plane, or the fuel in it.

A Yk-42 needs 1800 meters of runway to take off. While Yaroslavl's runway is 3000 meters long, Yk-42 only had a half of the runway to take off. 1500 is obviously not enough.

NEWS: Aleksander Galimov has died in hospital at Moscow due of serious skinburns (90% of his skin were burnt). Airplane's mechanic is still alive fighting for his life.
