A lot of you are taking information from thin air.

Protein powder is the exact same as if you'd eat more that day. Your body can only take one limit amount of protein, so if you believe that you will grow big on protein, it's basically the same if you'd eat one meal more. Some powder-companies are surprisingly dumb by putting these moronic lines of text on the jar with like "Double doze of protein!" etcetera, which is simply just pure bullshit. Once you've reached the limit of the protein intake, the rest will basically be pissed out. Use it if you like, I use it regularly when training as one extra meal.

The only matter with age is that as older you get, the less bodily functions will remain as they were.
If you're only 14, eat good, drink a lot of milk, water and juice, and you will see results by that.
Bro, learn the difference. Steroids has nothing to do with protein shakes.

I must oppose though.
It is true that your body can only take a maximum amount of proteins. As your body needs increases with the additional (non-natural) proteins, your body gets out of balance. Many people forget that their body needs more than just one substance and they all need to be good balanced. If you raise your proteine intake you must be sure to increase all other substances aswell. Carbohydrates, Glycemial indrexes and others must all be in balance in order to function properly. With your body out of balance you're a perfect victim for many deseases and immunic reactions such as hypo-glecemia (also known as diabetes).

Apart from that, the remaining proteins your body won't take in has to be eliminated in the body. In the liver all of these substances gets breaken down, but hey. Everything we eat must be broke down there!
I suppose you can already imagine that ontop of all you eat your liver must break down all of these proteins, it will be overworked sooner or later. That gives you many liver-deseases and decreases your immunity systems.

Don't ask yourself the question why many body-builders and such die so soon and often.
Always ask yourself the question if you are 'really' going to need those muscles and in case you do, I only recommend to work out using only yourself and no cheaty tricks to increase your body mass.

Because body builders take steroids, and I'm not willing to take a drug that'll fuck up my body.

Ok, I'll leave the protein out. Que does have a point, and I've done some research on the powders.

Thanks for your opinions.

Well Biggo, i'll suggest you to eat chicken and rice as much as possible in three month time. It helps building your mass - it helped for me.

Thanks for a mature opposing reply.

Protein jars usually has a description on the side of it where all these other substances are within it as well. There are only a few that just contain pure protein; but there are as many that has these other substances in it. It is of course inevitable that they only "puff" their protein as that's the largest piece of the jar.
That gives you many liver-deseases and decreases your immunity systems.
That's one far-fetched thesis. In the matter of fact, everything you basically eat or drink can give you some sort of issue.
Don't ask yourself the question why many body-builders and such die so soon and often.
They push their body too far. No matter if they use steroids, they're never amused with their current body and only want to grow bigger and bigger. Steroids can also be used safely, but most of the users are just as you said; body-builders. They have only one goal, and it's to be the biggest motherfucker in the world.
I only recommend to work out using only yourself and no cheaty tricks to increase your body mass.
Once again: Protein > Steroids, creatine, ephedrine.
But I agree that Biggo can skip the protein due to his age, he can frankly just eat a meal more everyday to find good results, combined with good sleep and have a good daily routine.

I have limited knowledge on the subject, but my brother used to work out quite a lot and actually began to develop some proper muscle. He then decided to try protein shakes to see if it would speed up the process and lead to him gaining bigger muscles, but it didn't. In fact, it did f**k all.

He done weights, a lot of running and swimming, and ate a balanced diet - this is probably the best way to do it without any external factors.

If you decide to embark on taking protein shakes - bear in mind, that they will do nothing alone if not combined with exercise.

MaxiMuscle Promax Diet has a really positive rating among the bodybuilding community.

Read the reviews  :)

Protein is great as it allows you to take in a large amount of calories and protein at once without much fat. Combine it with a good diet, proper lifting regimen, and you'll start gaining mass. Anyone who says otherwise is a skinnyfat neckbeard.
