I think it's mainly because GOW3 is 360 exclusive, whilst MW3 is on all consoles. I however love GOW3 and bought it, played through it and for once actually played a decent amount of multiplayer.
Batman: Arkham City was also a fantastic game IMO, awesome fun going around and kicking arse as Batman.
Portal 2 was fun and well made, but seemed a lot more bogged down in story instead of gameplay mechanics this time through for some reason. I didn't hate it, it was just different for me.
Forza has always been great fun for me (3 anyways) and I don't think GT5 could of beat it. Despite all the hype it had leading up to it, I think it was a fairy big let down when it finally came out.
Did anyone play Uncharted? I would of thought BF3 would of won with the Frostbite 2 engine being so damned pretty.
As for Skyrim, well I can make a decision on that once it arrives. (Ordered it yesterday for $55AUD)
