Official text:Haven & Hearth is a MMORPG (Massive Multiplayer Online Roleplaying Game) set in a fictional world loosely inspired by Slavic and Germanic myth and legend. The game sets itself apart from other games in the genre in its aim to provide players with an interactive, affectable and mutable game world, which can be permanently and fundamentally changed and affected through actions undertaken by the players. Our fundamental goal with Haven & Hearth is to create a game in which player choices have permanent and/or lasting effects and, thus, providing said players with a meaningful and fun gaming experience.
Players start the game surrounded by a vast and somewhat unforgiving wilderness, with only the most basic tools of survival at their disposal. The use of fire is a thematic focal point of the game's mythos, and an early and important task will be the simple lighting of one. As the first hearth fires disperse the darkness of the surrounding wilderness, more pressing questions will present themselves to the players: Who are they? Where are they? And, most importantly, where are they going? From this point on, players will have to blaze trails of their own into the unknown, the wilderness and the future, and explore and affect the world of Haven & Hearth using only their own best judgment and a chipped stone axe. Trust us, the stone axe is the shit.
As players progress, they will be able to acquire new skills and abilities, allowing them to perform a variety of tasksâ€â€Âsuch as the claiming of land, the construction of buildings and the cultivation of cropsâ€â€Âeach step forward making the basic task of survival somewhat easier. Having progressed far enough, players will, in time, be able to organize themselves into societies, from simple tribes and villages, progressing through republics, nation states and, ultimately, empires.
my version:-you spawn in middle of nowhere, thrown to jungle buttnaked and supposed to survive
-you can build houses villages or w/e you want or just troll around and ruin people's shit, rangers will most likely get you though
-building up a reasonable safe-house and some stats for yourself takes a week, may look like farmville during this period because you will have to do farming stuff and grow some balls. then you get to raid other towns or do trading
-totally freeroam and sandbox, no quests or any obligations. you can do whatever you want whenever you want
-no retarded stuff like XP and no special gold ultimate VIP rights via $$$
-H&H developers are some filthy trolls so beware
-you die, you f**king die. no respawning and shit, so its the survival of the fittest in the jungle
-you craft stuff, like you grab a rock, you get a branch from a tree and you craft an axe man
-its not like there are 10000 noobs rolling around you, you mostly live in solitude (unless you live next to a big town) you rarely see strangers because the damn map is huuuugeeee
-its like medieval age, fastest vehicle is an ox wagon lol
-no furry stuff, dragons ghosts or any unreal things, this is some realistic game man
-you start with hunting harmless animals like chickens, once you go l33t with armor sword and stuff you get to toe to toe with bears (last time i did it f**ker killed me and made me leave the game

)
-ITS FOR PEOPLE LIKE JDC, not much is scripted. most things are manual. and graphics are not the very best, but who cares man the game engine is just awesome. Its a java game btw lol.
-There is no map. You explore the world and paint maps in game with ink and paper. (daaaaamn)
-PLAYERS CHANGE THE WORLD. You cut down a tree, its gone forever, for every player. You cut down all the trees, you get a f**king desert in a couple of days. You plant 50 trees together, it turns into a forest itself in a week.
-THERE IS NO WAY ONE CAN HACK IN THIS GAME, %100 FAIR-PLAY
SS of a starter compound, pay some attention to mating cattle. do it.
http://www.diygamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/HeavenHearth.pngI've been playing this game for a year, sooo addictive. I quit like a couple of months ago because of that killer bear. Don't expect much guidance from me, just telling you about the game. You can thank me later.
