Never End | Image for a contest

  Well as subject says, i had to create a image for a contest using that pencil and that rubber. The only thing that ocurred in my head was this.
The turtle, or what is that is not mine, i took a sketch, and then with Pen tool draw it and painted it. Hope you like it, this ends tomorrow and is for $50  .

I know itsnt the best, is hard to had bad replies but an honest answer is the best way to get better

Well I like your work, but you need to work on a few things I guess.

Everything is cartoonish. I know you cant make the pencil and ereaser (or something) cartoonish, but dont make the image cartoonish then. Also the pencil and the rubber are way too much out of each other. They are not one "team". Also, I see you used a gradient overlay on the chainsaw. It is a nice idea, but try to keep it only with one gradient, not black-white-black-white-black, just keep it simple, something like black-white-black. Also try to put some more gradient overlays on some parts of the body of the turtle. One last point, the background. It is nice, making the turtle come out very well, altho try to make it a little bit more exciting.

Further the turtle itself is nice, I like it. Try to work on those points and it will be a lot better!




EDIT:
Oh and try to make everything a little bit more exciting. I mean, the turtle just has one color at different points, try to make some shadows or maybe a gradient overlay.

Yeah now what i was thinking was not erase that, And do the same as i do with sketch in the pencil and rubber, i will updapte this soon.
