Personally I think both Apple and Amazon should let publishers choose their own prices rather than force price floors or ceilings...
Apple has a shitload of money, if they close down their company then they will have a unlimited supply of money till they die.
Apple is not owned by one or a few people though -- Steve Jobs actually owned a relatively small part.
