LCPD:FR

Hey guys. So I tried to install LCPD:FR a couple of days ago, but it doesn't seem to like me at all. I've downloaded the application from their website, ran it, and installed it. I went to go run the game, and the starting menu loads up fine. When I click "Start", however, it continues to the black load screen, freezes, and eventually crashes. Any advice?

Before you ask, no, the game was not acquired 100% legitimately, to say the least. However, I was told that this wouldn't be a problem.

I think you need a legit copy, with a CD and a key. I believe that LCPD:FR checks for that, not sure though.

Could it be a mod that you messed up? Try making a new save?
Are all the needed components installed?

Run the LCPD:FR Diagnostic tool anyhow and see what you might have messed up.
