I have this borrowed computer. The DVD/CD (internal) Drive opens and all. I inserted the DVD but there is no drive in my computer (the (LETTER): CD/DVD Drive), so I can't install anything. How can I create a drive and make it work?

Try uninstalling DVD drive drivers in computer management, and restart, upon restart the drivers install themselves, which fixes the problem in most cases.


Right click on my computer > Properties > Device Manager

DVD/CD Writer didn't even appear in device managers..

I opened the case and then the case was solved. The wire joining the motherboard and writer was loose. >.>
