1. Issues are being worked on. There are a variety of problems which lead to the crashes. It's not so much host-related, as it is related to older scripts and a lack of updates from the VC:MP mod developers on the mod itself. Both of these will likely be resolved when the upcoming VC:MP RS2 scripts, running on the Squirrel-versioned VC:MP server, are released in Argo. Even more fixes will likely arise when VC:MP 0.4 is also released in the near future.
2. It can depend on the time of day, and just overall user preference. The mod is a bit older, and due to the lack of updates to it over the last few years, some people come and go. Some days, or times of the year, can be better than others. You just have to keep trying, and keep promoting the server.
