Brian versus Robd

Judges and the Court of Argonath,
Today the 23th of march a police officer broke into my property without any warrant, started damaging my property and stole my wallet wich contained my passport, drivers license and gold worth of $5000ARD. The officer has been identified as [mG]Robd. Luckily my newly installed CCTV cameras were able to take pictures of the incident.





I hereby sue Robd for:

• Invading private property
• Damage to private property
• Stealing private belongings

My demands are as follow:

• $1000ARD for police brutality and invasion of private property
• $5250ARD for my stolen wallet and goods
• $500ARD to repair the damage that is done to my Vehicle

My vehicle is not a simple car, it is infact a specially tuned and made car wich only a few civilians have in Vice City. Due to the damage you made on it i had to repaint my vehicle with the graphics, replace the doors, fix the carborator, replace the broken fuel injection and pipelines and i had to replace the hood.
This is not a cheap fix of $250ARD. About the gold, i own the Vice Port Warehouse clicky and one of the things the warehouse provides is storage for myself and other people who pay for safety for their goods.
I for example always carry $5000ARD worth of gold incase of an emergency or something i have to buy with no time left.

I will agree to pay the excess price for repairs but I will still not refund you for the gold which was not in your possession. You have no proof that said gold was on your person at the time, and I did not receive any gold during the incident.

My wallet contained my drivers license, passport and the gold mentioned above. The gold were special incripted plates engraved with the logo of the Liberty City national bank unfortunately I can't provide evidence of the gold that was in it but I always sell it to the Vice Point jewellry shop. It can be confirmed by the owner.
About the insurance of my property and vehicle, yes they are insured but I can only claim money when something gets stolen wich in this case didn't happen.
The thing I immediately did after the freelance officer fled was checking the damage what he had done to my vehicle. Then I made pictures and checked for CCTV footage for this case. I then tried to contact my lawyers who are currently out of town and they advised me to start this case.

I will provide the belongings which were taken from the plaintiff to the court for evidence. As they will be returned I will ask that I not be held responsible for replacing them (obviously.)

On the matter of acknowledgement:

I acknowledge the damage to private property as well as invasion of private property. I acknowledge that a wallet belonging to the plantiff was in my possesion. I do not acknowledge the claim that gold was within the wallet. I would also like to suggest, that as the plantiff, Mr. Brian should be given the burden of proof and should be responsible to proof definitively that the gold was stolen by me.

I will agree to settle this matter in the amount of $1,500 without the intervention of the court, as well as the return of the stolen property.

I wish not to disclose my motives, as I do not believe they are relevant to the monetary damage of the case.

However, Mr. Karlonto has informed me that he does not wish to take up the settlement offer, but would rather wait for the Court's ruling on the case.


Regarding your motives:

These are important in that you were acting as a law enforcement officer representing the ARPD.
And so your reason to be there, as a public services worker, is of interest to the Court.

I won't press you further on this immediately unless you wish to freely disclose it, but presently we shall assume that you were there out of no reason and trespassing on private property.

As no further information was given, the Court would like to conclude and close this case.

[mG]Robd, defendant, is to meet the damage claims of $1000 for invading private property and acting unlawfully to [EAF]Brian.

$500 and all contents that were taken from Mr. Brian Karlonto, the plaintiff, is to be paid and returned.
As we don't have detailed evidence of the contents themselves, we cannot ask Robd to pay the sum in excess of $5000 for additional property removed. However, we believe the total of damages being compensated should cover immediate costs.

The Court has taken the decision to fine (payable direct to Brian) the defendant a further $500 for maltreatment of a citizen. We acknowledge that you do not want to disclose your intentions, but it must be made aware that any police/law enforcement personnel should be acting in the best interests of the people.

We have noted that the sum may have already been transferred/unable to be transferred due to server changes.
