RS5 was based on the ideas collected from the players, ideas based on the behavior of the players, among others. This means anyone who points the finger at the developers accusing them of making and implementing ideas without considering the players needs a reality check.
Regardless of whatever you serve people, whether it be RS3, RS4, RS5, or RSwhatever, there will always be bugs and imperfections. However, this is Argonath, so there will always be improvement. The challenge on the developers is to take the right kinds of improvement. The very fact that they have managed to keep a community of hundreds / thousands of players afloat after almost 8 years (with ~7 of SA:MP) very much speaks for itself.
Keep in mind that the goal of the developers is to create a fun, playable community, rather than to please every single person as the latter is impossible. One blatant example is the clusterf**k of moaning "BRING RS4 BACK IT WAS BETTER" that simply replaced the "WHEN WILL RS5 COME BACK RS4 HAS BEEN HERE TOO LONG".
Personally, there are things I dislike about RS5 too, such as the atmosphere being less conducive to people who take small breaks from RP to roam around aimlessly and think/chat (while we do expect some RP from people, we do not force them to RP 24/7), you and your car being f**ked if there is no mechanic or medic, what I perceive to be an overuse of dialog boxes as they are applied in even the simplest transactions rather than being limited to more complex ones, and not being able to type while refueling.
However, the script is revolutionary in itself, both conceptually and technically speaking. Personally, I am also impressed that they created something of this magnitude (where the database will not need any major overhaul for the next 5-10 years) from scratch. If there are not as many people in SA:MP RS5's launch as there were in SA:MP RS4's, it is because times have changed, and not because the community has lost its charm. Otherwise we will not be attracting new players, and even some of our old attackers. ("Server is one week old, yet we have DDoS and ban evaders already?")
Point is, there will always be people who will (always) complain regardless of whatever changes. The best thing to do is to take advantage of the change and ignore those who are here to do nothing but spread shit and sow hostility / negativity between community members.
