But than again you could be a dumbass so let me clarify; No that is not a real thing, but if you can't lower your specs to get it to work get yourself more ram.

Agree with Devin I haven't used antivirus in years and havent got a virus in years either.

Implying virus is the only malware..

You can test all of this but I am sure that one of this things does fix the lag.

1. Try Updating you Graphics Driver.
2. Clean off the dusts from your graphics card and obviously do clean in the processor fan. <---- This helped me to reduce the lag for few games.
3.Try Disabling Unwanted Progresses in Task Manager.

Actually a good suggestion if you haven't done it in a while, but be careful, a PC is a delicate machine, don't go jamming a mop in there.
