Swarms of Swedes descended upon a Stockholm office for Sweden's national jobs agency (Arbetsförmedlingen) on Wednesday after workers accidentally invited 61,000 people instead of 1,000.
"There were quite simply a few too many people," a passerby told the Aftonbladet newspaper.
The tens of thousands of Stockholmers crammed right up to the door of the Stockholm office, and eight police patrols were sent in to regain order.
Details remain unclear, but officers on the scene said that that the agency had
mistakenly invited 61,000 people instead of 1,000 to a job meeting on Wednesday afternoon.
Spokespeople from the agency could not confirm why so many people had been invited, but told the paper that there was a recruitment meet scheduled at the time.
