More RP Idea

Hello fllow Argonathians,

As I suspect you all figured out, RP is dying these days.... Every "criminal" farms weed 24/7, and they dont even know what a life of an criminal means. So my suggestion is, that Weed NPCs would be removed, and website administrator should create a new topic called "Weed dealer application". So Ppl would need to apply for Weed dealers. There would only be like 4-6 weed dealers ingame, and other players could only buy weed from them, while RPing. A dealer wouldnt sell the weed if the deal doesnt contain an RP. And the "Weed dealers" would get weed from administrator, they would pay for it by the profit they got from the deals. That would bring RP in Argonath IVMP back alive. Supported or Un-supported type down the reasons for what you chose. Thank you for your time.

Supported! The better thing for me could be to remove the /Sellweed NPCs. There is no need of them as long as all "High ranked criminals" sell their weed and don't make just a little bit RP.. The /Orderweed NPCs ain't a problem when there is nowhere to sell the weed, so everything would be just like the old times. Every criminal farms weed and this is the only way they earn money nowadays..

I support this but not to make Forum applications...etc it should be secret i had this idea in my plan but never relesed it Its anoying everyone already gots over 1k weed It should be reseted or something..

They should delete ALL the NPCs because they are just ruining the RP. As I said administrators should make a grop of weed dealers, acutal players not NPCs that would sell weed around in Liberty City.

The /Orderweed NPCs didn't make problems in the past, so I guess they could stay. The troublesome ones are only the /Sellweed NPCs.. :C

RP shouldn't be forced, you ether do it or not.

As for weed NPC, would be nice if they had a random spawn location after they are used, that would mean farming them would not be possible in short time periods, as it would take time for you to find the new location.

Also A-team members have more important tings to do then to sell weed, and for few admins who work in ARPD and FBI that would be very impossible.

And how would admins even measure how good is your RP when you are asking for weed?

All in all i don't support this idea.

Well, as Mane said above. And I don't really think that removing NPC's can help. It's right that all players are farming weed 24/7. But if the players want to do that, you can't stop them.
Just think about these questions: what if the drug dealers go offline? maybe they are not active enough? maybe the player join the server when those drug dealers are offline? (timezones, remember that) do you think admin team is free for that?
Also, the server is a light Role-play server. We cannot force new players to role-play or even the regular ones.

There would be Several Drug Dealers i don`t See the problem of the player Waithing, And also new players would learn quicker how to Roleplay and How the Things work then just going to a script /orderweed....

And if its LightRoleplay Does that mean no RP at all? Then just Scripts Doing Dirty Works for us...

I Remember back in the day There were even Weapon Dealing wich was quite fun for me when i was a newbie i took things very serious, And that gave me a good idea for the Server wich made me like it even more.

With this what you say guys "No force RP" Just Ruins the Roleplay Even more and More..Until it Totaly Dies and everything will be on "/" i wonder why its RPG.

I Have to Remind you that This is still Role-Play Server not Script-Play Server.

If you would be kind to read Argonath Vision, you will see that RP on Argonath will never be forced.

What do you expect when most of players contact you via PM to trade weapons and drugs? The RP level is low but that doesn't mean it cannot improve. Instead of trying to remove NPC, we should move them randomly around the map whenever we buy a good amount of drugs. The NPC's spots should be revelead only by IC chat (/PM is OOC , even if Argo does not claim IC and OOC it's kinda obvious), however that will never happen for sure.
Restricting the drug dealing to few players, which is highly unlikely , is unfair.
If people want to farm let them do so, if they PM you to sell weapons or drugs i'd say you ignore the message and then wait them to approach you RPly. Giving an example on how to drug deal or trade weapons in RP is a good idea instead of using private messages. They will learn not to farm only and get some fun speaking and interacting more.

Well, what you said is right.. But you know Argonath Rules.. We cannot simply force other players to role-play if they don't want to.

The players must learn by themselves about role-playing. They can do that If they want to.. They can participate with the regular players and they will learn.. Why not advising them and helping them instead of forcing them to do what they don't want to do?

Supported! Yeah, Argonath RPG should be a role-play gaming server, not a cops'n'robbers server, what has been turned into lately. Even if it's full of civilians, little of them know how to RP. And there are loads of possibilities. Maybe, open an RP job, like, a newspaper seller (what I used to be in the _z3im family before starting crimes). Maybe, friends IRL who play this server should make a family (not a criminal one), for example, a business family.
