After reading a lot of ideas here, I got one too 

Implement fire extinguisher to buy at a dollar store.

when you are in driving and your car hp is low the black smoke is coming out.
and you hit the pole next moment the player carrying fire extinguisher can kill the fire and there will be black smoke coming out of the car now the player can drive safe to his friend location and repair his/her car.

That would mean fire extinguisher would actually repair your vehicle above the flame threshold...

..which is not going to be implemented.

I suggest making fire scripts instead for once, where if the players car catches fire, firemen can extinguish it within three minutes.

We already tried this in the past and it didn't work out that good.

Okay, I don't know what's the reason that you don't want this idea to be implemented,
but I have a fix for it too

after the fire extinguisher is used the vehicle is fixed at the certain threshold
now your car becomes timer you have quickly drive to place otherwise the fire will start again.
