Getting VC:MP

Requirements

In order to acquire VC:MP, you need to meet the following requirements:

• Have the GTA: Vice City game version 1.0 (installed/patched) in your computer.
• Steam version of the game is an exception since VC:MP works with that with no patching.
• Meet the GTA: Vice City game requirements.
• Have an Internet connection.

Download

To download VC:MP, please go to:

After finishing the download, install VC:MP by following the installer's instructions.

WARNING: If it is your first time in Argonath/VC:MP, it is VERY important that you read the contents below (rules, commands, etc.) before connecting, in order to have a good enjoyment of the server.

The IP in the pictures is not the current IP, the current IP is 23.100.7.37:8192

Now that you have successfully installed VC:MP in your computer, open it:



Adding Argonath RPG to Favorites list

After opening VC:MP, you will see your Favorites list. You probably won't have any servers on it... Yet. Let's add Argonath RPG server to it! Click on the "Servers" button at the left top of the client, then "Add Server":



A box will open telling you to insert the server's address (IP and port):



Insert the Argonath RPG server address(Displayed below)into the box:

23.100.7.37:8192After doing so, click "OK" and Argonath RPG server will appear in your Favorites list! You've successfully added it as a favorite:



Now you must choose your username. To do so, you need to click "Tools", then "Settings".



Inside "Settings", you will find "Username" and "GTA:VC Directory". First type in your username, then locate your GTA:VC installation by browsing to your GTA:VC installation folder. After you are done, press "OK"



Connecting to Argonath

Right-click on Argonath RPG, and click connect:



You have successfully connected to Argonath RPG VC:MP Server.

VC:MP Default Commands & Keybinds

VC:MP Keybinds

These keybinds will be essential while playing the game:

• T - Send a message to others or input a command.
• TAB - Open console to scroll chat.*
• F - Passenger key*
• F5 - Hold down this button to view a list with all the names, scores, ID numbers and ping values of the players online.
• F6 - Shows network statistics.
• F8 - Takes a screenshot in JPG format that will be saved in your Documents/GTA Vice City User Files/Screenshots** folder.

*Can be configured to match your needs
**Can change according to your Operating system, this is Windows Vista/7/8 specific

VC:MP Default Commands

These are the only few hardcoded VC:MP Commands:

• /setconfig - You can make changes to your VC:MP config with that command.
• /listconfig - Lists all values set within your VC:MP Config.
• /getconfig - Gives you the value of a particular attribute in your VC:MP Config.
• /recordkey - Gives you a number of a key you press to properly modify your VC:MP keybinds such as Console, Passenger key.

Account Commands:

• /register <password> - Registers your account on the server.
• /login <password> - Used to log in on the server.
• /logout - Used to log out from the server.
• /changepass <new password> - Changes your password. Requires permission from a Manager or above ( level 5 ).

Basic Commands:

• /l <message> - Local chat.
• /w <message> - Quiet whisper that only the person closest to you can hear (required to be very close).
• /s <message> - Shout in local area, increased range from local chat.
• /me <description of action> - Describes an action performed by your character.
• /em <description of action> - A tool usually used to describe outcomes of actions.
• /911 <emergency> - Sends an emergency message to the Emergency Services.
• /taxi - Calls a taxi to your location.
• /ad <message> - Makes a server wide advertisement of whatever you decide to advertise.
• /admins - Displays the currently online admins.
• /speed <ID> - Displays a player's current speed.
• /dis <ID> - Displays the distance between you and a player.
• /alt <ID> - Displays the altitude of another player.
• /time - Displays the server time.
• /count - Initiates a countdown.
• /area <ID> - Displays a player's area.
• /hp <ID> - Displays a player's current amount of health.
• /armor <ID> - Displays a player's current amount of armor.
• /report <ID> - Used to report a player to the administration team for rulebreaking.
• /scripts - Displays information about the server's development team.
• /web - Displays a URL to the Argonath RPG main forum.
• /arpd - Displays a URL to the Argonath RPG Police Department forum.
• /ts - Displays information about Argonath RPG's TeamSpeak server.
• /crimson - Displays a serverwide message telling players that deathmatching is not allowed.
• /english - Displays a serverwide message telling players that English must be spoken in the mainchat.
• /status <ID> - Displays a player's current status.
• /away - Changes your status to Away.
• /back - Changes your status to Online.
• /who <1-12> - Displays a list of players in a certain area.
• /whocar <vehicle model/ID> - Displays a list of players inside a certain vehicle.
• /suicide - Commit suicide.

Animation & Sound Commands:

• /addanim <keyword> <group ID> <animation ID> - Saves an animation in your animation list. Group/animation IDs can be found here.
• /myanims - Displays your animation list.
• /remanim <keyword> - Removes an animation from your animation list.
• /anim <group ID> <animation ID> - Performs an animation.
• /addsound <keyword> <sound ID> - Adds a sound to your sound list. Sound IDs can be found here.
• /mysounds - Displays your sound list.
• /remsound <keyword> - Removes a sound from your sound list.
• /sound <sound ID> - Performs a sound.
• /do <keyword> - Performs a saved animation/sound.

Business Commands:

• /buy - Prompts you to the shop interface.
• /additem <price> <item name> - Add an item to your business, which should always be related to the type of your business.
• /remitem <ID> - Removes the item with the ID you specified in your business.
• /buystock <stock amount> - Orders stock for your business.
• /stock - Displays the amount of stock remaining in your business.
• /income - Withdraws the profits your business has made.
• /deliver - Delivers stock to a business ( for truckers only ).

Money Commands:

• /cash - Displays your current amount of cash, in-hand and in the bank.
• /deposit <amount> - Deposits an amount of cash in your bank ( Must be inside El Banco Corrupto Grande to use ).
• /withdraw <amount> - Withdraws an amount of cash from your bank ( Must be inside El Banco Corrupto Grande to use ).
• /send <amount> <ID> - Sends an amount of in-hand cash to a player.
• /wire <amount> <ID> - Sends an amount of bank cash to another player's bank account ( Must be inside El Banco Corrupto Grande to use ).

Police Commands:

• /pdrank <ID> - Displays a player's ARPD/FBI/SWAT ranks.
• /sus(pect) <ID> <reason> - Issues an arrest warrant for a player. Should only be used for valid crimes.
• /wanted - Displays the current wanted player list.
• /sur - Asks a player to surrender through the megaphone as a cop, or used to surrender to law enforcement as a criminal.
• /crime <ID> - Displays the reason behind a player's arrest warrant.
• /duty <VCPD/SWAT/FBI> - Switches between police duties.
• /pull <ID> - Asks a player within range via megaphone to pull his vehicle over.
• /bu <ID> - Sends a backup call to all the other cops.
• /plantwire <ID> - Plants a wire in an area, a vehicle or on another player. Only usable by players with FBI rights.
• /remwire - Removes any planted wires. Only usable by players with FBI rights.
• /plantcctv <ID> - Plants a CCTV facing the direction of the specified player. Only usable by players with FBI rights.
• /cctv - Toggles the view of the CCTV camera. Can only be used from a police station or from an FBI Rancher by players with FBI rights.
• /gears - Displays the available SWAT gears. Only usable by players with SWAT rights.
• /gear <gearID> - Switches to the specified SWAT gear. Only usable by players with SWAT rights.
• /impound - Impounds a vehicle. Only usable by players with ARPD rights.
• /unimpound - Unimpounds a vehicle. Only usable by players with ARPD rights.
• /restock - Replenishes ammunition and armor ( Must be at a police station ).
• /toggleheat - Toggles the heat bar displayed below the screen on/off.
• /jail <ID> - Detains a suspect ( Must be used when the suspect is in one of the jail cells at Washington Beach Police Department ).
• /confiscate - Used to confiscate the contents of a briefcase/crate. The contents must then be brought back to Washington Beach Police Department.

Medic Commands:

• /heal <ID> - Sends a healing request to a player.
• /medkits - Displays the amount of remaining medkits.
• /restock - Replenishes medkits ( Must be at a hospital ).

Emergency Service Commands

• /m <message> - Sends a local message through the megaphone, increase range from shout.
• /r <message> - Sends a message through the radio.

Hotel Commands:

• /addguest <ID> - Rents a hotel room to a player. Payment is not forced by script.
• /remguest <ID> - Removes a player from the guest list.
• /guests - Displays the guest list.

Warehouse Commands:

• /addtenant <ID> - Adds a tenant to your warehouse.
• /remtenant <ID> - Removes a tenant from your warehouse.
• /tenants - Displays the tenant list.

Inventory Commands:

• /invent - Displays your inventory.
• /call <ID> - Calls a player ( requires a Phone ).
• /c <message> - Sends a message in the call.
• /hangup - Closes the current call.
• /cb <frequency/message> - Connects to a CB Radio frequency/Sends a message in the CB Radio ( requires a CB Radio ).
• /gps <property ID> - Displays the distance between you and a specified property.

Property Commands:

• /place <property ID> - Displays information about a property.
• /buyplace - Purchases the property in which the player is located.
• /dumpplace - Dumps the property with 20% payback for the property's original price.
• /sellplace <ID> - Transfers ownership of a property to another player. Payment is not forced by script.
• /spawnprop - Toggles spawning at your property on/off.
• /lockprop - Locks/unlocks your property.
• /sharekey <ID> - Gives another player access to your property's storage and wardrobe.
• /remkey <ID> - Removes another player's access from your property's storage and wardrobe.
• /getkeys - Displays a list of players with access to your property.
• /wardrobe - Prompts you to the wardrobe interface.
• /remclothes <ID> - Removes a skin from your wardrobe.
• /getstorage - Displays the items stores in a property.
• /take <item> <amount> - Takes an item from a property with a specified amount.

Miscellaneous Commands:

• /stats <civilian/cop/criminal> - Displays your statistics in certain game aspects.
• /accept- Accepts a prompt from another player ( heal, frisk, etc. ).
• /reject - Rejects a prompt from another player ( heal, frisk, etc. ).
• /pick <item> <amount> - Retrieves the items from a briefcase/crate.
• /addpack <item> <amount> - Adds an item to your pack with a specified amount.
• /resetpack - Resets your current pack.
• /pack - Displays the current items in your pack.
• /drop - Drops a briefcase containing your pack items ( requires a Briefcase ).
• /stash - Drops a crate containing your pack items ( requires a Crate ).
• /give <ID> - Offers your pack to another player.
• /store - Stores the items from your pack in a property.
• /smuggle - Begins a smuggle voyage ( requires a smuggle team assembled ).
• /addsmuggle - Adds players to your smuggle team.
• /avail <codetext> - Uses a discount code.
• /mydeals - Displays your earned discount codes.
• /heist - Displays information about the Heist event.
• /addheist <ID> - Adds a player to your heist team.
• /dumptrash - Dumps the trash collected ( for garbage collectors only ).
• /minimission - Displays information about the current mini-mission.

Vehicle Commands:

• /buycar - Prompts you to the vehicle showroom menu. Must be in a vehicle showroom with a wealth of atleast $45.000.
• /sellcar <ID> - Sells your vehicle to another player. Payment is not forced by script.
• /dumpcar - Dumps your vehicle with 10% payback for the vehicle's original price.
• /parkcar - Changes your vehicle's respawn position.
• /lock - Locks your vehicle. Note that it can still be accessed by other players when you are offline.
• /lights <on/off> - Turns your vehicle's headlights on/off.

Drug Commands:

• /growweed <number of seeds> - Plants one or multiple weed seeds. They can be planted separately ( in pots ) or in special areas ( in bulk ).
• /harvest - Harvests the weed.
• /use <item> - Uses a drug item ( weed, cocaine, etc. )
• /ordercocaine <cartel number> - Orders cocaine from a cartel.
• /orderheroin <cartel number> - Orders heroin from a cartel.
• /selldrugs <drug> <amount> - Used to sell drugs at the drug market in Phil's Place.
• /cartels - Displays your current cartel contracts.

This regards situations when a player engages you, on-duty policeman, by ways that are against the rules.

If there are one or more admins available at the moment

• Do NOT suspect them. Report them to the administration and try to avoid them until an admin answers to the situation. /report <ID> <reason>
• Do NOT shout over main chat, "Omg this player is rulebreaking, do something!!". Once again, report them to admins (see above).
• If no admin answers the report, try one of the steps below.

If there are NO admins available at the moment

• Try to tell them to stop doing that, and if they listen, explain them the basic server rules (no deathmatching, ramming, etc.), tell them the website and forum addresses, guide them where to get informed about server rules properly.
• If they don't listen to you, try to avoid them the most you can, take pictures if necessary, call an admin over Discord or send a report to the complaints email (complaints email address below).
• If you aren't able to send a report and take pictures, and if they won't listen try to tell them "I won't suspect you, please try roleplaying a crime, if you won't roleplay go away."
• If they keep harassing you, suspect them and deal with them at last, so you can defend yourself without getting auto warned, but do not abuse the /sus script...

PS: Some admins may be taking reports by main forum PMs so you can try PMing one of them. Some might not be taking reports via Forum PM though.
