ARFD - Downtime

What happend to ARFD EMS forum?! I'm trying connect to the forum but it's down for me for the last 4 weeks...I have lost many of my patrol reports and seems like this issue not gonna be fixed soon. I asked some Admins about, that downtime and they told me to talk with "Gandalf" but this guy is a ghost. Please someone inform us for the remaining downtime!

EMS was a self destruction site it was on the down as soon as it was created, very minimalistic management, I'm working on gathering the data in order to either re-host it or move it to the ARFD forums.

That's funny. You always asked me for the Commissioner position, and threw a fit because I wouldn't hand it over. That's okay, though. I'm done managing this stuff. Too many unappreciative people looking for power that are willing to attack anyone and everyone that gets in their way. What is even more hilarious is that Gandalf himself had approved them to move to their own subdomain, and I was waiting on you guys to actually set it up, as per his instructions. I guess you have been allowed to override the person that owns the entire community!

As for the EMS members, I apologize for what you had to encounter. I tried my best to help you guys out, but it seems others just wanted to misuse their positions and self-assert themselves to do things as they see fit. I would strongly advise you guys set up your own forum elsewhere and run it how you wish. Those with access will continue to refuse to let you be creative at this point, as they have made clear. I wish you all the best of luck, and I hope you still manage to have fun roleplaying the things you love and enjoy.

As much as I can recall I had no interest in becoming the Commissioner of the ARFD, I did ask for chief within SAFD since it was slowly dying and had no active leaders, how ever you said it was not needed and it was going fine. You were asked several times to step up your activity or choose a new commissioner, and when you refused to do that you were removed from the position as you refused to do anything in the position, so ARFD leadership was given to the leaders of the server that required changes within it, and things have been fine since.

As for the EMS forums, its all good that Gandalf approved moving domains and all, but if something is set up with total disregard of how a forum should operate, it is doomed to fail, structurally it was a mess, code was altered in ways that left open holes everywhere, and the database was even worse.

And before you start another rumor, I actually managed to fix the EMS forums months ago, after working on it tirelessly in order so that people could save their data, and in the end they were actually able to use the forums, you would've seen that if you decided to pop by sometime.

Again since you were removed from the commissioner position EMS and ARFD leaders have actually been given the freedom that you claim we refused to give them, while in the end it was you that refused to give them any, so don't come here blaming others for your own failures, I've shown you enough respect over the months, but it seems that was worth nothing.

Lol it is okay. I don't mind if you continue to spread false information. Not my concern anymore. I would like to point out, however, (as I still do respect Gandalf and his position unlike many others here), that you overriding his authority simply because you feel it is something that should be done only proves more what your position truly means to you. That's alright, though. This has been enough of my time wasted even bothering to reply to this topic, so I'll end my desire to respond here. I hope you have a wonderful day.

Small overall update.

After recent messages shown above I had a small eureka moment.

The ARFD and EMS forums are both fully operational again and can both be accessed through their direct links ( www.arfd.argonathrpg.com ) ( www.arfd.argonathrpg.com/ems/ )
Some boards have been archived for community servers that either do not exist anymore or do not have an active ARFD anymore, but can be brought back if the servers decide to return their ARFD.

Both SAFD and LCFD have been given the appropriate rights to manage their respective sides of the forum, so if you are interested in joining either of those you can do so again.

Sorry for the delay, but I'm happy that almost everything is in working order again.

I am quite sure Brian is still respecting Gandalf's position. However, if something is broken and needs fixing, you cannot wait for someone who pops on every now and then. You need someone who is active to fix problems that have risen, and not wait for months to get it fixed.
