My BF2142 CD Key

Sorry to bother you guys, but I actually thought for one minute that EA had a working Customer Support system. They don't, by the way.

Someone KeyGen'd (I assume) my (totally Brand New, Legal) BF2142 CD Key. His account name is Svn0073, according to EA. Their automated response said the 'most laughable' "Log in to this account." and the equally 'entertaining' "If this is not your account your game is preowned." (which is isn't).

Anyone got any ideas, because I'm kinda really stumped right now..
The chance of KeyGen working for this game is about 0.1 in a thousand, by the way, due to the system they use. And I know Argo don't support piracy of course, so anyone got any thoughts on how to solve this legally?

step 1:Return it to the store were you bought it.
step 2:Goto another store(different chain)
step 3:Buy it again.

If they don't accept it, write a formal complain to consumer support in UK

But as PMP said, take it back to a different store, and buy another one from somewhere else.



Or ask for help from the store.

Thing is, I bought it from Amazon.co.uk in November 07 (I didn't get a capable PC until recently) so.. no returns.

However, EA have messaged back with an actually custom response saying that if I send a receipt of purchase (which Amazon store) then I might have a chance.
