Group Information

If you want to request/maintain script support for your Group in-game, here are the rules, requirements, and information you need to know to succeed.

General Group Rules

1. Activity
  • 1.1. Stable Activity: A group should be able to stay active over time, and not die out after a few weeks. Groups that do not meet activity requirements will have their in-game scripts and assets removed.
  • 1.2. Showing Activity: Groups must show activity with at least three screenshots a week of in-game activity to show off your skills and success, especially for Groups who want to earn Recognized status.
  • 1.3. Forum Board Rules: Follow the Groups & Families board rules as listed here.
  • 1.4. Screenshots: If you want to post more than three (3) screens in a post , please use a spoiler to avoid lag on slower PC/phones.
2. Roleplaying
  • 2.1. Groups need to attract their friends into the server to enjoy it together, within the Server Rules and roleplay standards.
  • 2.2. Groups, especially if they want to be Recognized, must actively RP with others. Groups who show little to no roleplay and only grind scripts, money, etc. will not be Recognized, and may possibly have their scripts/assets removed in-game.
  • 2.3. Groups may roleplay in certain ways of their choosing (provided it follows Server Rules), but cannot force that way of roleplaying on other players.
3. Character, Track Record, and Punishments
  • 3.1. Follow the Rules: Groups whose members repeatedly break Server Rules and/or will be warned or forcibly shut down, depending on their offences.
  • 3.2. Group Conflicts: Repeated OOC provocations between groups will result in Warnings or more being issued.
  • 3.3. Boycotts or Stealing Players: Groups who boycott the server if they cannot force their way over others will be forcibly shut down and lose all group scripts/assets. Groups who steal Argonath players for other servers/communities will be forcibly shut down and banned. We have no reason to support or even tolerate those who work against our community.
  • 3.4. Leadership Takeover: If a Group's leader is banned, HQ may take over a Group's leadership until a suitable leader is found. For Government Agencies and State Services, HQ can replace or take over the leadership if the Group's leader(s) have been inactive.
4. Recognized Clans & Groups
  • 4.1. Recognized Groups are those who support our server and community, have contributed players, activity, and memories to the server, and show themselves as role models to other Argonath players.
  • 4.2. Getting/Keeping Recognized Status: Groups who want to get Recognized status must work hard by following all the above requirements. Recognized Groups who fail to keep following the requirements can lose their status.



Requesting an in-game/scripted /group

All Groups that want to request an in-game scripted /group must meet the following requirements:

1. Minimum Members and Activity: The Group must have a minimum of three (3) members actively participating in the group's activities, with five (5) hours minimum weekly activity per member. People sitting on the member-list, "friends" or "associates" does not count

2. Group Topic: The Group must have a Group Topic in the Groups & Families or SA:MP Businesses section that is at least one (1) week old. Businesses that are run by Groups will not be given a separate /group without separate approval.

3. Roleplaying: The Group must be active in RPing with others. Scripted groups will not be given to those who do not show themselves interacting with others in-game.

4. Founders: The Group's Founder must not be a top-ranked member of any other Group. This excludes State Services (e.g. ATC, DS, FBI, SAPD), State sub-groups (e.g. SAPD-SWAT, SAPD-Command, etc.), and Political Parties.

5. Clean Punishment Record: Players leading the Group should not have had severe punishments within the last month.

6. Removal:  HQ can remove a Group at any point for any reason necessary, including any group properties/vehicles/accounts. This is generally done when groups go inactive or consistently break the Server Rules.

If you meet the above requirements, contact a Manager+ to create your /group in-game. Those who are found to lie about meeting the requirements will be blacklisted, in addition to other possible punishments.



Group Script Support and Rewards

Normal Groups
  • 1. Group Vehicles: Your Group can own up to 10 Vehicles. (bought at your own expense)
  • 2. Group Bank Account: Your Group will have a bank account that can be used by members with the right permissions.
  • 3. Group HQ: You can get one unowned building set as your HQ, free of charge.
    • 3.1 Group HQs are not automatically given with /group, but to Groups who work hard to be active, RP with others, and make a positive impact on the server.
    • 3.2 The building where you want to set your Group HQs must fit your Group. (Example: No street gangs in giant mansions)
    • 3.3. The Group HQ must be in an area where your Group is known to be active. Requests to set a new Group HQ in (or move an existing one to) a new area where the Group has no existing presence will be denied.
  • 4. Drug Market: High-ranked members can sell drugs to the NPC drug market (Criminal and Rebel Groups only)
  • 5. Custom Mapping: Groups may submit a custom map for their HQ's interior, exterior, and/or the surrounding area. This must go through a member of the HQ and/or Mapping Team, and must be approved by HQ.
Recognized Groups
  • 1. Same perks as Normal Groups.
  • 2. More Vehicles: Can own up to 12 Group Vehicles.
  • 3. Bigger Drug Contracts: Can sell drugs to the NPC drug market for higher prices to help out Normal Groups. (Criminal and Rebel Groups only)

Updated to clarify that Political Parties are exempted from the Founder/Top-Ranked rule. This has already been the practice in the previous years for the political system, and is now formally written into the Group Rules to avoid any potential problems with leaders of normal factions who would like to run in elections under a political party. This change is also to help prepare for the future, as we intend for the upcoming Fort Carson Elections to be just the beginning of reviving our political and government system.

The most important part is interacting with others and meeting people from around the world.
