DDR3 has been out for more than a year ..if you can afford it.. and you dont need SLI for gaming its an extra not a need , I think you are forgetting we dont all have the money for 2 cards in SLI and by no means do you need that for normal gaming

but prices are finally falling =] and even not SLI.. the PCI bus speeds are faster and optimized for graphic cards on nForce motherboards

I haven't tried a graphic card like that, but with 512 MB it should be good enough.
22 inch flatscreen is nice too, just remember to keep a small distance or you will mess up your eyes.

Videocard memory only determines how much filters (for example Anti-Aliasing [AA] reduce performance) and resolution reduce performance.

You can have a 8800 GT 256MB running at 1024x768 playing Crysis at 50 FPS. and a 8800 GT 512MB running at 1024x768 and will also play at 50 FPS
