PiMP if you made a topic to start protect the /changename command - you are wRONg...

/changename command was created by Argonath RPG in 0.2.2 version and was not in 0.1b or 0.2.1 script versions and on other servers as well and as far as I remember players had no problems...

Also /changename command was created specially for clan/group tags and was NOT supposed to be used for roleplaying functions... It was always a registration option... As players started abuse it and already created a new RP rule "each character - each nick", we will remove this function...

I did not like Argonath community makes new rules for RPG mode like those "Firstnick_Lastnickthenyouarearoleplayer" which almost became be the special RPG rule and even was tried to be invented on our server due to other servers "registration rules"...

So please do not start demand anything - it will not help... We created this command - we see abuse of the command - we will remove the command... Simple...

Aragorn, I won't expect my ideas to be accepted, nor will I threaten to leave server. I've played lot's of servers on SA:MP. Argonath is just one of them.
If I don't like the scripts, I go to other servers, you guys never notice me anyway.
Argonath only kills the competition on VC:MP and thats the only Argonath server were I would mind if I couldn't play.

 Because I rememeber a couple days ago admin Hess comming in and screaming that he couldn't remember the last name he used.. and I am guessing Aragorn was pissed that he or someone else had to go through the script log to find his name and that fact that he is admin made it worse.. only time I use this command is for being officer_Hell, only other time would be if I had to go to another gang.

You can set /sex to 500 and people on street will randomly do sex with you. But you can RP some more and get payed for it.

  Pff, Hell, do you know what you are speaking? This was never about Hess or anybody else specific. It is about the players and admins put in one group. When I go to the server and do /admins, I can see all kinda strange name that I dunno, such as Jizzy_Love, Pink_Elephant, Orange_Stuff and etc. And then what happens? People forget their name and start asking the developers to get their names from the logs ...

 What about when someone says: Hey, Im a regular, but lets do some DM. Take on the cop skin, writes /changename '[KAD]noop' and starts shooting and flaming people with the excuse he is a 'noob' . I don't think RP is to change your name. I changed my name to Mike_Laury while I was on duty twice and I got warned by other admins ... its confusing ...

That is your answer to you why your admins rights I denied... And that is an answer why I did not listen to your demands about /changename command... And that is why you have no idea about registration system how it should be, mixing it with role playing...

And yes we are one of many servers and you are free to go on any other server... Do not worry we will not trace you which servers you play... Guess why...

I'm just here to say that the above posts (except for some of TL's) do not explain the abuse that seskom asked about.

I believe that the abuse refers to players changing their names to avoid court hearings and discipline from admins because admins don't have enough time to /alias everyone on the server to find who is "hiding" behind a new name.

Anyway, well done PiMP you were Angela and it was some good roleplay  but after some hidden remarks by yourself and blatant attack from Aragorn, this topic has gone completely off-topic and I am requesting it's locking, before it turns into another "/changename" argument.
