What are some good specs for a basic gaming laptop?

That laptop doesn't even run vista properly. I don't know how much laptops cost in Australia but in Portugal, they don't even sell laptops that weak...

He says he wants the laptop for chrismas. So I hope I'm not late.

Minimum acceptable specs:
Dual Core processor
2GB ram
Graphic card compatible with directX 10 with dedicated memory(nVidia 8400M or something, which will run GTA4)
100GB of hard drive(Vista, Office, your little programs and about 5 decent games)
You can get this for 700€ in europe. With no dedicated grafic memory you can get for 400€ but it isn't a gaming capable laptop without dedicated grafic memory.
