Major SA:MP Problem...

I'm not sure if this is my internet's fault or my computer's fault, but here's the story. When I play SA:MP, I always have a ping range of 100~170. I never experienced chat lag / lag, besides the times when the server was attacked. Today, my SA:MP is constantly restarting, I'm experiencing MAJOR chat lag, more crashes, and a ping shooting up all the way to 300! I don't know what's wrong with my computer, I never experienced this before. Can anyone help?

Did you install any mods? Can work fine in Singleplayer, but can have conflicts with SA:MP

Are you connected Wired or Wireless to the internet?

I don't use any mods, I didn't use them for a while. Also I use a modem.
