Hamachi

I got a little problem, i dont know how to connect through hamachi on game servers...
Anybody could tell me how? I would be extremely happy. Thanks

My way:


Look if you can PING your friend (right click on user -> ping)

Make sure he can PING you back ...



If you can do so, you can join your friend over LAN. Not all games support it!

Might have to turn firewall off if you are not able to ping each other or if you do not see the server!



Just google the game with hamachi behind it and (your version of the game) ... solutions will come how to make it work...

You need his external IP-address and port number.
He must allow connections through that port and if needed disable firewall.

Start hamachi... be sure your in the same server/room as your friend. Let either your friend or you find out its external IP (www.whatismyip.com (depends on who hosted the room..)) or cmd -> "ipconfig /all".

Start the game and connect through LAN. Hamachi creates a VLAN enviorment meaning you can connect through LAN.

If its not working your either blocked by a firewall or you did something wrong with hamachi.

I know that in CoD 4 Modern Warfare and CoD WaW AND Left 4 Dead, you must type into the Console (~ Button) connect <Host's Hamachi IP>

Do not attempt to connect to their Real IP, it wont work

In hamachi, next to their Nick, there will be there Hamachi IP :P
