Attrib command and the Security tab [xp home edition SP3] - Help

Well, I usually am able to solve most problems myself, but now I'm stuck.

You see, I need to change the attribute of a folder to -r, so I can start the goddamn file inside it.

However, the Attrib command fails me hard.


C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\My Documents>attrib Crack
           C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\My Documents\Crack

C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\My Documents>attrib -r \Crack

C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\My Documents>

Nothing happens, the Attrib commands flashes some in the title, I go to check the folder, but the damned Read only is still there.

C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\My Documents>attrib -r Crack

C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\My Documents>

Apprently, the folder does not have any attributes as well.

I can apprently set +R on it, because the folder does not have any R from the beginning (wtf?).

But when I remove the R, the folder still has read only.

Now when I come to think of it, no one of my folders have any Attributes at all?

What's wrong?

You need to put full location of that folder.

I have already tried that. It just runs the command but the options is still checked at Read only.

I went into safe mode and gave my username full acces to everything. On all my harddrives.

I did not check any deny box. Everything "allow".

But still I can't change it into not read only.

Not even under safe mode.
I tried softwares, don't work ethier.

I still get the "Windows can't acces the specefied device, path or file. You may not have the apporiate permissions to acces file".
Yes it's a downloaded file from BEEEP (lol illegal stuff of course, can't talk about it here).

It's a keygen, that's all I have to say.

Anyways, I heard that sometimes a downloaded BEEP stuff from BEEP might cause this problem, as it's getting moved between computers.

So, what should I do?
