Hey i think that i could overclock my laptops T7250 CPU which has factory clock of 2.0Ghz, i would like to oc it to 2.5 maybe cuz i did benchmark on GTA 4...ram and gpu were about 70% usage, but cpu was 100%, could you give any tips for oc software? maybe give me a hint to oc it with bios? i dont know if my bios supports it though, ill post some screens, GTA 4 runs at 20 fps average, i would like to do 30 fps to make it more playable, erm my cpu is at around 60 celsius while playing GTA 4, gpu is 67. Thanks for advices

Hey man, just to let you know, NEVER OC a laptop, the stock cooling is way too inferior,

your system is already runing at over 60 C which is high, and if you OC your CPU, im telling you this now,

your Temp will increase by more then 10-15 Celcius and now function properly because anything over 60- 70 is the limit of laptop CPU's and

if its a intel i really suggest to NOT OC it, the only thing that will happen is it all crash or burnup from overheating...

Ive got my system OC'ed its a E8400 Core 2 Duo stock 3Ghz and ive taken it to 4.2Ghz easily but the thing there is im running insane amounts of cooling in my case.. aswell as this CPU Heatsink:

and the issuie with a laptop is you cant add such components to cool it down.. so i really advise you to NOT OC your laptop,
the only thing that could happen is you destroying it... they do not have sufficient cooling for their stock setup..
the laptop i have, when i play GTA4 on it, its temp stays around 40-50C aswell...

HEY
Thank for the reply...i think i can cool it down by making or buying a laptop cooler, ive made one out of puzzle box and a case fan but its not so good, ill maybe make a better one when ill have time. SO if i would cool it, there would be no prob with it?

Well that could help but the issue is, its not really cooling the CPU or GPU directly, thats more like cooling the laptop from the outside which doesnt help much... you mainly need direct cooling instead of that because that only cools the outside of the laptop...

Laptop coolers wont help you at all.. unless you're going to overclock them with 0.2GHz or such.  Seriously, overclocking with 1.0GHz can increase the temperature with over 50C, and that's not good if you want your laptop to crash even before you get to boot window.. and I can tell that laptop coolers you can buy wont help. Just leave overclocking for desktop PC's.

Mix it with liquid helium, and voila! You're below the 'absolute zero' temperature :D

Overclocking laptop is useless, you will get max. 5% more "power" to your PC.
Mine E5200 is 2.5 GHz, runs 40 Celcius ingame.
After overclocking it to 3.8 GHz, it runs 45 Celcius ingame..
Raising Bus speed MAYBE gives you one-two celcius, but when you start increasing V-core  to get more OC, that raises temperature.
