I need help with my laptop again. PROBLEM FIXED. PLZ LOCK

I need help badly. I have a $1200 gaming laptop that still won't play GTA: IV, but it can play GTA: SA. I just installed SAMP 0.3b with the R2 client, and after I join ANY server, it loads 7/8 of the way then crashes to desktop.

My OS is Windows 7 Home Premium x64, the laptop is only 5 months old. I went to the "Solutions that work 80% of the time for Win7" thread under the SA-MP forums, tried out each and every solution, it still won't work. I even tried using a NO-CD/fixed .exe for GTA:SA, SAMP 0.3b R2 still won't run.

For those who will say "Try re-installing SAMP and GTA: SA", doing that still won't make SAMP run w/o crashing.

So can someone please help me with this bad issue? I really want to be get back on Argo again.

Any large modifications on the game?

If so, try unistall them, i will try to help you further.


EDIT: I found probably the problem, were you game directory is? if you have the cracked version of the GTA (not the real game, just download)

No mods, just downgrader patch for SAMP.

No cracked version of the game. I have the disk, bought it last year at Wal Mart.

Well, my advise is puting your GTA SA in your desktop.

In windows 7 you now have program files and program files(86x)
Make sure you are using 86 folder of gta sa.

What desktop? You mean the desktop my house's office has that takes 30 minutes to boot up and even longer to start up MS Paint? Or my desktop that has a virus on it, thanks to my little brother, that's even slower and did I mention that is has a virus???111!!?


And being a Grammar Nazi: it's advice. Not advise.

My gta_sa.exe is already in C:/ Program Files (x86)/ Rockstar Games/ GTA San Andreas 2

When you want to play SA:MP do not put the GTA:SA game under a /program files folder, as since Vista they are protected to stop virus and malware corrupting your programs.

Move the Rockstar Games folder to C:\ or reinstall to there and everything will work fine.
