Server off?

The Game-Monitor says there are 13 people online, playing on the server. But on SA-MP it says that the ping is 9999 and the server has 0/0 people playing, which means the server is off. And yea, it is really off. Any explanation? Hmmm lemme tell you what's my doubt(if you didn't understand) I want to know what happened to the server... understood?

The server is not down its up and running, i was just playing a few seconds ago.

Try adding the ip again.

No, I don't have wrong IP. I was playing it then I get disconnected and when I try to reconnect I see that the server is off, but the other servers I can play. What could've happened? If I can't see server thru ping there's only one rational explanation: someone rangebanned me. Who else agrees? There aren't a reason for admins to do that(and I don't know if they even can do that), but I can't think in other explanation for a while.

p.s.: if you don't know what rangeban is I explain: rangeban is when a range of IPs are banned, example: if you ban 200.0.0.0 ~ 201.255.255.255 from your server you'll ban a whole country, in this case Brazil(my country).


I will restart my comp, I remembered that I have some viruses(I didn't get them, the other comps on LAN got them and shared with me ) so they are probably the cause of the problem, common sense tells me. If it works I won't come back soon(I'll be playing), otherwise I will strike back maybe still today.

EDIT: Still not wroking. The ping appear 9999(on favorites list) and when I click 'Internet' the server doesn't even appear.

Correct your IP is rangebanned. After our admins banned 10 dynamic IP's from this range in one hour it was enough.

So... please unban these IPs, I wanna play.

EDIT: Nevermind. A miracle happened. I reconnected and I got a new IP, and now I see server. But next time I reconnect my IP would probably be the same that is rangebanned.

Maybe it would be good too make 1 sticky thread about people having problems connection to Argonath? I see alot of this same threads showing up each day In that thread they could post their problems, instead of making a new thread each time.

Yeah, that's true. I'm not the only one with problems. But I don't think a sticky would be necessary.
