Hello there,

Today I received a couple of messages (5-7) that said my login failed. I do not know what that should mean, since, well I'm always logged in on the forums, and I heard of some hackers wanting to hack someones account? Any help would be appericated.

It probably means someone tried to log onto forums/game/whatever using your nickname
Don't be paranoid as everyone here is, what's the probability of someone guessing your pass? Hmm, 0,00001 % ?

Well, when you get about 20 messages of the failed going attempt, then there's a possibility...
Also, could managers trace the IP or something? Would be nice to see it banned :D

it helps if you look at my messages, not by seeking to enter normal user accounts on the forum, would understand that they tried on account of any owner or moderator of this forum but no other

Actually its more like the more failed logins the bigger probability of NOT having your account stolen, lol

Seriously guys, this is not a movie where you hack using 3 button presses, those ppl are probably amateurs guessing your password
As long as you aren't retarded to set your pass the same way as a nickname, you won't ever get 'hacked'

of all messages that come to you if you look only find 2 or 3 times the same ip, the often change so you will not discover

IF it is a person who has already got a forum account, their forum account will show in with matched IPs. If it doesn't give an IP, its most likely (VERY likely) that its a bot.... do not need to worry.

The emails are part of the forum security. Once you start getting them, I suggest using a stronger password.

I haven't received any of those messages ever... Except when i forgot my pass :(

Anyways just make sure your password gets to be uncrackable (Even that any password can get cracked by real experienced hackers.... you can only make it harder :P)
